This site is provided as a public service by the Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System (PSERS) and is intended only for viewing and retrieving information and other limited purposes.  Not all transactions are available through this site, and any transaction that is available on this site may also be completed via non-electronic means.  You may download material displayed on the site for non-commercial, personal use only, provided you also retain all copyright and other proprietary notices contained on the materials. You may not, however, distribute, modify, transmit, reuse, report or use the contents of the site for public or commercial purposes without prior written permission from PSERS. Unauthorized attempts to upload or change information on this service is strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer and Fraud Abuse Act of 1986. The rights and obligations of PSERS' members are governed by the Public School Employees' Retirement Code and regulations, policies, administrative rulings of the Public School Employees' Retirement Board,  judicial decisions and not by the publications contained in this site. No statement in this site is intended to interpret, change or extend the provisions of the Public School Employees’ Retirement Code. The information contained in this site is not intended to replace person-to-person retirement counseling services that are offered without charge to PSERS' members. We recommend that you refer questions regarding the retirement benefits to which you may be entitled, the benefits structure, and related matters to a retirement counselor. Please refer to Regional Offices in this site to find a retirement counselor close to you.

The information collected, whether or not personally identifiable, is not limited to text characters and may include audio, video and other graphic formats you send us. Information is retained in accordance with existing laws and other commonwealth policies.

As a general rule, the Commonwealth does not disclose any personally identifiable information collected online except where you have given us permission, or where the information is public information under the Pennsylvania Right to Know Act 65 P.S. 66.1 et seq., or other applicable laws. Visitors should be aware that information collected by the Commonwealth on its websites may be subject to examination and inspection, if such information is a public record and not otherwise protected from disclosure.


ACCESS TO USER PROFILES


Any personally identifiable information you enter in a user profile will be open and accessible to you for review and modification.


CHOICE


You may decline participation in any activity that asks for information (i.e., surveys or emails). Your choice to not participate will have no effect on your ability to view information on the commonwealth’s websites.

As part of our continuing commitment to the security of electronic content as well as the electronic transmission of information, the Commonwealth has taken steps to safeguard the submission of information by implementing detailed technology and security policies, which can be viewed at the Office of Administration, Office for Information Technology website.


Security measures have been integrated into the design, implementation and day-to-day operations of the entire operating environment.


In certain instances, you may receive or create a password to access or submit personal information. You should not divulge your password to anyone. The Commonwealth will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or e-mail. When you are finished with sites that are password protected, you should exit the page.

PSERS web-based applications and PSERS information assets are to be used by authorized users strictly for business purposes. As the owner of a PSERS Internet account, it is important that you understand you have the responsibility to:


  • Use the system only for the purposes specified by PSERS;
  • Comply with controls established by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, PSERS, and public law as referenced on the PSERS website;
  • Prevent disclosure of sensitive information.


When you log on to PSERS' Member Self Service site, you will have the opportunity to change your password at any time. Please remember, for your own personal protection, do not keep your password written down and do not give your password to anyone, even to employees of PSERS.


It is important that you keep your email address current with PSERS. We advise that the email address you supply to PSERS is an account to which you have exclusive access.


All Commonwealth systems and usage are monitored for security purposes. Violations of PSERS' security policy will result in the termination of your account.
